Located at 129 Toddy Dr, East Earl, PA 17519, Shady Maple Smorgasbord operates as a chinese buffet serving East Earl in Pennsylvania. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in East Earl; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Pennsylvania are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 1 day a week. On most of those days it is open 7 AMโ€“7:30 PM. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (717) 354-8222. East Earl is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and East Earl follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Parking was great, sitting down process took a about 20 minutes, because there was a huge line. Once we started eating stuff was good. I would stay away from the NY strip, unseasoned and hard like a shoe, burger was unseasoned, but a really lovely texture. Sausages a bit salty. Everything else was very delightful! All the fried stuff from jalapeรฑo poppers to the fried shrimp, delicious. My favorite was the mashed sweet potato, creamy and cinnamony, yum! They also offer coffee of all sorts the cookies and cream capuccino was rich and tasty. The sweets selection was a tad overwhelming and big portions so I recommend sharing with a group so you can try a bit of everything. Cheesecake was good, velvet cake and ice cream a little underwhelming. A little pricey, but understandable for all the variety, they have more foods than I can name. Ps. The crab cake was also very yummy especially with the bobs boom sauce, the crunchy outside with the creamy inside, chefs kiss!

Shady Maple Smorgasbord is an experience all by itself! The selection of food is unbelievable, with so many choices that itโ€™s almost impossible to try everything. Everything we had was fresh, hot, and delicious, and the desserts alone are worth saving room for. The place is huge, but everything runs smoothly and the staff was friendly and helpful. If youโ€™re visiting Lancaster County, come hungry because Shady Maple is definitely worth the stop!

Discovered this place several years ago. And it is absolutely a destination. Usually Iโ€™m here for breakfast and then continue on to Gettysburg. This time I got here for lunch service. It was just as good as breakfast. Got a nice slab of their legendary smoked brisket. The attendant cut me a nice thick meaty, juicy, fatty slab. It was totally unctuous and delicious. The potatoes, fish, shrimp and side dishes were superb as well.

We decided to go out of our way on our cross country tour to come to the largest buffet it the country. Being from Las Vegas we know buffets. It was definitely a unique stop. The setting and art in the building were very enjoyable. Some of the food items were cold but there were many low carb high protien options and it felt like having a home cooked meal. We were glad we stopped.

A rite of passage for anyone visiting the Lancaster County area is eating at Shady Maple. The place is absolutely massive. We went on a Saturday night during summer and the place was packed, but we went at 630pm and although we waited about 15 minutes to get seated, the place started clearing out soon after we got there. There is so much to choose from and 3 grills and a carving station. They were slicing brisket and it was juicy and tender. Is the food fine dining? Nope, but it's also not Golden Corral. It's good, fresh food. I want to come back for breakfast. Staff was all very friendly.

I drove 4 hours from Pittsburgh to East Earl Pa. just to experience Shady Maple Buffet. Is every food item they have to your liking, maybe not. But, you can DEFINATELY find enough things to eat that you will not feel disappointed. My advice is to get there before which ever meal period you are going for and ride it to the end.. I will surely be back next year. 4 days of endless eating was plenty to hold me until next time. So far, Tuesday Seafood Night was the best for me. Thurs and fri will complete my destination trip evaluation to Shady Maple Buffet !!!!!! BTW. they have an awesome staff nice, friendly and such a pleasure. GREAT JOB!!

Spent a vacation visiting Philly, Hershey and Lancaster. Was actually at Shady Maple twice. One for a birthday dinner (you eat free as long as you have another person paying a meal) and the next time for a breakfast/lunch. You can eat both if timed correctly, and just pay the difference for the lunch option. For a buffet, the food was actually really good with tons of choices. Top that off with it being run by the Pennsylvania Dutch, the quality was for the most part on point. Bakery was top tier. There were a few items on the buffet that werenโ€™t as good as others, but with over 240 selections, thereโ€™s plenty of options. The steak dinner offered several variations of steak to choose from. Breakfast options were really good as well. Take some time to look at the 3D art on the walls and to visit the different shops and grocery store located beside the restaurant. Must stop for the largest buffet in the US.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Shady Maple Smorgasbord ๐Ÿ“ 129 Toddy Dr, East Earl, PA 17519 ๐Ÿ•˜ Lunch Visit This review reflects my personal experience as both a customer and a chef. Overall Impression The place is massive, and it was packed when we arrived on a Saturday. The lines felt endless, so patience is definitely required. Itโ€™s important to remember that this is a buffetโ€”variety and volume are the focus. I wouldnโ€™t recommend eating beforehand if you want to get your moneyโ€™s worth. Highlights & Observations Service: Considering the size of the operation, the staff does a solid job. There are employees constantly cleaning tables, restocking stations, and keeping things moving. The dining room is enormous and very typical of a large buffet setup. Food: Thereโ€™s a lot of itโ€”and a lot of variety. With close to 400 items available, youโ€™ll find everything from salads and desserts to meats and seafood. As expected with a buffet of this scale, some dishes are better than others. My Favorites: โ€ข Buffalo wings โ€ข Sweet chili shrimp โ€ข New York strip steak Final Thoughts: Itโ€™s worth visiting at least once, especially if youโ€™re nearby and curious about one of the largest buffet operations around. Nothing was bad
